YouTube Channels
CyberFeeds has first-class YouTube channel support. You can subscribe to any YouTube channel or playlist simply by pasting its URL: no browser extensions, no manual channel ID lookups, and no third-party services required.
Supported URL Formats
CyberFeeds automatically detects and resolves these YouTube URL formats:
| Format | Example |
|---|---|
| Channel handle | https://youtube.com/@ChannelName |
| Video URL | https://youtube.com/watch?v=... or https://youtu.be/... |
| Channel ID | https://youtube.com/channel/UC... |
| Custom URL | https://youtube.com/c/ChannelName |
| Legacy username | https://youtube.com/user/Username |
| Playlist | https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL... |
| Direct feed | https://www.youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?channel_id=UC... |
How It Works
- Paste any YouTube channel, video, or playlist URL into the Add Feed dialog
- CyberFeeds automatically detects it as a YouTube source
- It resolves the URL to the canonical RSS feed (
youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml) via oEmbed or channel metadata - Videos appear in your feed with thumbnails, titles, play controls, and direct watch links
Features
- Automatic feed resolution: No need to find channel IDs manually
- Duplicate elimination: Videos are deduplicated by their canonical video ID, preventing duplicate articles
- Direct thumbnails: Video thumbnails are fetched directly from YouTube's CDN (
ytimg.com), ensuring reliable image loading - In-app playback: Play a video in the article viewer, or open the original YouTube page
- Watch links: Article links point directly to
youtube.com/watch?v=IDfor one-click viewing - Feed Preview: Before subscribing, you can preview the channel's videos, title, and article count
