Companion: CyberBot

CyberBot is CyberLauncher's optional animated companion. Its layered avatar appears inside the launcher and in floating desktop notices, sharing built-in contextual messages about app launches, system notices, scheduled tasks and tips.

Messages and appearance

Text appears progressively with a typing caret; the chest equalizer runs while the message is being written. Important notices have priority over incidental commentary, and persistent notices keep their writing progress and reading time when you return.

The avatar uses subtle reflections and alternating focus/scan hover reactions. Dragging banks the body in the movement direction; automatic lateral travel uses the same tilt and settles on arrival. Reduced motion disables ambient and travel animations.

Names and preferences

Open Settings → CYBERBOT to choose the starting corner, immediate cursor evasion or advance warning, full/minimal interaction, local quiet hours and backup banners. You can also drag the bot to reposition it.

The optional name invitation has an inline input: type your name and save it without opening Settings. You can postpone or decline the invitation. To test it again, remove the saved name; when the name is empty, Ask me again in Settings explicitly reopens the invitation after you return to the launcher.

Quiet hours can cross midnight. Ordinary greetings, tips and status notices are suppressed during quiet hours or minimal interaction. Critical alerts, scheduled-task countdowns and acknowledgements of direct actions can still appear. Backup banners show notices when the bot is disabled or its bubble cannot fit; critical alerts retain Windows notifications when visual channels are off.

Idle behavior and returning

• Composed idle expressions favor horizontal eyes, the logo and focused round eyes. Terminal appears every second selection round and curiosity every third.
• An occasional screen shows actual launcher information: app/favorite counts, today's launches, the activation shortcut, version and pending tasks. Its transformation respects the floor when the bot has been moved vertically.
• Normal idle behavior may briefly retire or sleep. Activity wakes the normal idle cycle. Sleeping stops levitation and gently tilts the head.
• Returning gives a brief scan or sensor gesture. Longer absences may receive varied, occasional greetings or relevant information about an upcoming task.

Dialogs, terminal and disabling

After its contextual message ends, CyberBot waits three seconds before retiring while a dialog or the terminal remains open. Pointer or keyboard activity inside that context does not bring it back. Closing the context waits 1.5 seconds before starting its return; important notices can bring it into view sooner.

Both the quick toggle and Settings disable CyberBot immediately and save the preference. If visible, it writes See you later. and exits through its portal. If already hidden, retiring or without room for speech, it stays hidden and shows a brief disabled confirmation beside the control. Reenabling during the farewell cancels the pending exit.

Mensajes y apariencia

El texto se escribe progresivamente con caret y el ecualizador del cuerpo permanece activo durante la escritura. Los avisos importantes tienen prioridad sobre los comentarios ocasionales; los avisos persistentes conservan su progreso y tiempo de lectura al regresar.

El avatar usa reflejos sutiles y reacciones de enfoque y escaneo alternadas. Al arrastrarlo se inclina según la dirección; el desplazamiento lateral automático usa esa misma inclinación y recupera la postura al llegar. El movimiento reducido desactiva las animaciones ambientales y de desplazamiento.

Nombre y preferencias

Abre Configuración → CYBERBOT para elegir esquina inicial, evasión inmediata o con aviso previo, interacción completa/mínima, horario silencioso y banners de respaldo. También puedes arrastrar el bot para reposicionarlo.

La invitación opcional permite escribir y guardar tu nombre directamente en el globo. Puedes posponerla o rechazarla. Para probarla de nuevo, elimina el nombre guardado; cuando esté vacío, Preguntarme de nuevo en Configuración reabre la invitación al volver al lanzador.

El horario silencioso puede cruzar la medianoche. En ese horario o con interacción mínima se suprimen saludos, consejos y avisos comunes. Las alertas críticas, cuentas regresivas y confirmaciones de acciones directas pueden seguir apareciendo. Los banners muestran avisos cuando el bot está desactivado o el globo no cabe; las alertas críticas conservan las notificaciones de Windows aunque se apaguen los canales visuales.

Reposo y regresos

• La rotación favorece ojos horizontales, logo y ojos redondos enfocados. Terminal participa en una de cada dos rondas y Curioso en una de cada tres.
• La pantalla ocasional muestra datos reales: apps/favoritos, aperturas del día, atajo de activación, versión y tareas pendientes. La transformación respeta el piso si cambiaste la altura del bot.
• Durante la inactividad puede retirarse brevemente o dormir. La actividad despierta el ciclo de reposo normal. Al dormir deja de levitar e inclina suavemente la cabeza.
• Al regresar hace un gesto breve de escaneo o sensores. Las ausencias largas pueden recibir saludos ocasionales variados o información útil sobre una tarea próxima.

Diálogos, terminal y desactivación

Cuando termina su mensaje contextual, CyberBot espera tres segundos antes de retirarse mientras un diálogo o la terminal estén abiertos. La actividad del cursor o teclado dentro de ese contexto no lo hace volver. Al cerrarlo, espera 1,5 segundos antes de iniciar el regreso; los avisos importantes pueden traerlo antes.

El toggle rápido y Configuración lo desactivan y guardan la preferencia inmediatamente. Si está visible, escribe Hasta luego. y sale por el portal. Si ya está oculto, retirándose o no tiene espacio para hablar, permanece oculto y muestra una confirmación breve junto al control. Reactivarlo durante la despedida cancela la salida pendiente.
