Keyboard Shortcuts

Complete reference guide for all CyberNotes keyboard shortcuts and navigation patterns.

Global Shortcuts

These system-wide shortcuts work regardless of which application currently has focus:

Shortcut Action Configurable
Alt+Shift+N Toggle CyberNotes window visibility (show or hide) Yes (Settings → System)

Customizing the Global Shortcut

  1. Open Settings (gear icon in the sidebar or via the title bar menu).
  2. Go to the General / System section.
  3. Click the Global window shortcut field.
  4. Press your desired key combination. It must include Ctrl, Alt, or Win; Shift alone is only accepted with non-printable keys (F1–F12, arrows, etc.). Held modifiers preview live while you press them.
  5. The shortcut updates immediately. Use the restore button to go back to Alt+Shift+N, the clear button (or Backspace) to disable it, and Esc to cancel capture.
