System and Monitoring
System & Monitoring
CyberLauncher includes real-time system monitoring, storage information, an execution scheduler, and execution history, all as HUD overlays.
All three HUDs are also reachable from More options (⋯): System Diagnostics (HUD), Storage Diagnostics, Task Scheduler.
System Monitor
Top Bar
The top bar shows live monitors:
| Element | Description |
|---|---|
| RAM | Memory usage (used / total GB) — click opens the HUD |
| CPU | Processor utilization + core count — click opens the HUD |
| Clock | Optional digital clock (Settings → SYSTEM → Show digital clock in top bar); auto-hidden on narrow screens |
System Resources HUD (SYSTEM RESOURCES)
| Section | Contents |
|---|---|
| PERFORMANCE | Memory (RAM) with Used: X GB / Total: Y GB, Processor with {n} cores, Uptime (system uptime) |
| INFO | Launches today (launch counter), Activation shortcut (current toggle hotkey), Platform (Windows) |
Progress bars are color-coded by load. The launch counter covers the last 24 hours (Launches in the last 24 hours), mirrored in the footer.
Storage HUD (STORAGE)
Drive Information (DRIVES)

Execution Scheduler (SCHEDULER)
Opened from the top-bar clock — footer date-time (System time & date — Click for Task Scheduler), or ⋯ → Task Scheduler.
Scheduling a Task (NEW SCHEDULED TASK)
Run a shortcut or command after a countdown.
- Pick the type: SHORTCUT (
SELECT SHORTCUTfrom your library) or CONSOLE CMD (free command text) - Set WAIT TIMEOUT in Minutes + Seconds
- Press SCHEDULE EXECUTION (
Launch X/Console: "cmd..."queued)

Use Cases
- Launch work apps after a delay
- Run console commands on a timer
- Open meeting apps before calls
- Delayed

Execution History (EXECUTION HISTORY)
Open execution history HUD tracks everything you launch (stored in cyber_launch_history):
Each record shows icon, name, PATH, relative TIME (Just now, {m}m ago, {h}h ago, {d}d ago), and type (Application, Win Store App, File, Folder).
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Reopen | Click a record to launch the item again |
| Remove | Remove execution record from history per item |
| CLEAR MEMORY | Wipe the whole history |
There are no max-items / retention-period settings and no in-history text filter. The curated views live in the main panel: MOST USED (by total count,
Reset most used) and MOST RECENT (by last launch,Remove from recents/Reset most recent); see Organization.
System Power Hub
Located in the footer, the Power Hub provides direct access to core system power commands with a safety confirmation modal:
- Shutdown: Powered off cleanly via system commands
- Restart: Safely reboot your computer
- Sleep: Put system into low-power standby
- Lock: Instantly lock Windows workstation
Each power action prompts a 10-second cancelable countdown with immediate execution or cancel options to prevent accidental clicks.
Automated Backups (BACKUP & DATA)
CyberLauncher includes a scheduled automatic backup engine alongside manual JSON export/import:
- Automatic snapshots: Periodically saves your shortcuts, categories, and settings
- Retention policy: Automatically rotates and retains past snapshots without cluttering storage
- Location: Backups are stored safely within
%APPDATA%/CyberLauncher/backups - Restore: Easy point-and-click restoration from any previous automatic backup snapshot
Standalone Desktop Alerts
Scheduled tasks and imminent countdowns feature dedicated desktop overlay alerts:
- Renders in an independent, lightweight desktop window
- Alerts remain visible and alert you even when the main launcher panel is hidden or minimized to tray
- Visual countdown with progress tracking and direct cancel option
Clock, Uptime & Launch Counter
| Location | Control |
|---|---|
| Header clock | Settings → SYSTEM → Show digital clock in top bar (Displays digital time in the header next to CPU and RAM monitors) |
| Footer uptime | Show system uptime in footer (System uptime, tooltip System uptime) |
| Footer launches | Show launch counter in footer (Launches in the last 24 hours) |
