Relaxation

CyberClock includes a relaxation module with procedural ambient sound synthesis, layer blending, breathing patterns, and mindfulness features. Since v1.3.0, the view follows a sober, modern design: calm flat surfaces and readable typography.

Ambient Soundscapes

Available Soundscapes

Soundscape Description
Night Calm night ambience
Forest Birds and wind
Outer Space Cosmic drones
Ocean Rolling waves
Rain Rainfall
Fireplace Crackling fire

Audio Technology

  • Web Audio API procedural synthesis (no pre-recorded loops, infinite variation)
  • Real bundled audio files used as fallback
  • Layers fade in and out independently with smooth fades

Playback Controls

Control Action
Play/Pause Toggle playback — a true pause: audio, session timer, breathing pacer and tips freeze in place and resume exactly where they left off
Volume Adjust relax volume (Settings → General → Relax Volume)
Soundscape cards Click a card to play it solo
Ctrl+Click a card Blend that soundscape as a layer over the playing one (Rain + Fireplace, Ocean + Space…) — layered cards get a highlight
Zen Flow (Shuffle) One-click shuffled playback through all 6 tracks
Space Toggle play/pause while the Relax view is active

Auto-Stop Timer

End the session automatically after 15m, 30m, 1h or 2h — the audio fades out gently over the final minute instead of cutting off.

Breathing Patterns

Pattern Phases
Box (4-4-4-4) Inhale 4s · Hold 4s · Exhale 4s · Hold 4s
4-7-8 Inhale 4s · Hold 7s · Exhale 8s

Visual Guide

  • Expanding/contracting circle synchronized with the pattern
  • Phase labels (Inhale / Hold / Exhale)
  • The pacer freezes during pause and resumes in place

Session Timer

Setting Description
Session duration 15m, 30m, 1h or 2h (or none)
Mindfulness tips Phase-aware rotation: opening, deepening and closing tips follow the session's arc

Mute Awareness

If the system audio is muted, the Relax view shows a quiet banner with a one-click Enable button — no more silent "why is there no sound?" mysteries. Resuming playback always restores the configured volume.

Scheduler

Schedule automatic playback in Settings → General → Auto Scheduler:

Setting Description
Enabled Turn the scheduler on
Time When playback starts (default 22:00)
Repeat Every N minutes while enabled
Track Which soundscape (or random)
Duration Session length in minutes (default 15)

The tray menu shows a Pause relax / Resume action while a scheduled (or manual) session is playing.
