How Do You Use
How Do You Use CyberSnap?
New to CyberSnap? Start here with simple everyday examples to get value from the app in your first five minutes.
Pick the situation that sounds like you, follow two or three steps, and you are done. Each example links to the full guide in case you want more detail later.
1. Share what you see in seconds
You want to show a friend or coworker an error, a meme, or a setting.
- Press your area-capture hotkey, or click the floating Capture Widget.
- Drag a rectangle around what matters. Crosshairs and the magnifier help you nail the edges.
- Copy to clipboard or open it in the editor to add an arrow and text.
Tip: captures stack as tabs in the preview, so grab three things in a row without stopping.

2. Explain with arrows, boxes, and blur
A plain screenshot is not enough, people need guidance.
- Open the capture in the Annotation Editor.
- Add a rectangle, an arrow, and a short text label in your color of choice.
- Blur anything private, then save or share.
Tip: everything stays editable and undoable until you export, so experiment freely.

3. Capture a whole page without stitching by hand
You need a long chat, article, or receipt in one tall image.
- Trigger scroll capture from the widget or hotkey.
- Select the area once. CyberSnap scrolls and stitches it automatically.
- Check the preview, adjust overlap if needed, then save.
Tip: use Manual mode with the mouse wheel and Space if a tricky page needs control frame by frame.

4. Copy text you cannot select
A video frame, a scanned PDF, or an app dialog has text you need.
- Capture the area with the text.
- Run OCR to extract it, with multilingual support and a scan animation.
- Copy the text, or run translation right there if it is in another language.
Tip: open the Gallery later and search by OCR text to find old captures by their words.

5. Record a quick how-to in 30 seconds
Typing instructions takes longer than just showing it.
- Start screen recording and pick MP4 for quality or GIF for chat.
- Drag the recording bar where it does not bother you, pause when needed.
- Trim the ends at actual size and share the file or upload it.
Tip: the live size meter tells you before the file gets too big for email or chat.

You are designing, coding, or shopping and need a tiny tool fast.
- Open the Color Picker to grab any screen color as HEX or RGB.
- Use the Ruler to measure distances on screen.
- Point the Barcode / QR Scanner at a code to read its content in a result window.
Tip: these tools live on their own, no capture needed.
